Kin Faux is not a person. Kin Faux is a movement. Kin as in Family, Faux as in Fake. They believe that you can build the family you want and that everyone is welcome. Based out of San Antonio, Texas, Kin Faux is a dynamic, nationally touring band that infuses the vibrant spirit of Texas Red Dirt Country into every performance. Drawing inspiration from iconic artists like Charlie Daniels, Alabama, and Restless Heart, their sound features rich vocal harmonies and virtuosic fiddle playing by Rico Gonzalez, incendiary guitar work by Jakey Black, and a thunderous rhythm section with Avery Castro on drums and Adam Carrillo on bass. The band was formed out of a shared passion for Texas Red Dirt music, inspired by artists such as Randy Rogers, Kevin Fowler, and Turnpike Troubadours.
